White Roding Parish Council

White Roding (historically known as White Roothing) Parish Council, has 5 councillors and a part time parish clerk. The Council represents the interests of approximately 300 parishioners across the parish’s 1580 acres of land.

The Parish Council and various other groups within the village are there to enhance the social, economical and environmental well-being of the parish.

IMPORTANT ROADWORKS INFORMATION

A120 eastbound Dunmow South Interchange to Blake End Interchange - resurfacing

I am writing to inform you we’ll be resurfacing the A120 eastbound between Dunmow South Interchange and Blake End Interchange. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a safer, smoother and better-defined road surface.
We plan to complete this work over two nights between Friday 12 December and Sunday 14 December 2025. We will work between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.

Closures and diversions

To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the A120 eastbound between Dunmow South Interchange and Blake End Interchange, and divert traffic as follows:
If you’re travelling eastbound:
Leave the A120 at Dunmow South Interchange
Head north onto the B1256 through Dunmow
Continue on the B1256 to junction
Before rejoining the A120 eastbound at Blake End Interchange
